1. Product Core
Graphite Packing Reinforced with Inconel Wire is a high-performance composite sealing product. It uses high-purity expanded graphite (with a carbon content of ≥ 99.5%) as the substrate, and Inconel Wire (mainstream grades: Inconel 625/825) is uniformly embedded through multi-axis weaving and high-temperature curing processes. Its core value lies in integrating the excellent corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, and sealing performance of graphite with the high strength, creep resistance, and high-temperature oxidation resistance of Inconel Wire. This solves the pain points of traditional graphite packing-such as being prone to deformation, having a short lifespan, and poor impact resistance-under the extreme working conditions of "high temperature, high pressure, and strong corrosion", and provides long-term and reliable sealing solutions for key industrial equipment.

3. Core Features
(1) Superb Mechanical Strength and Creep Resistance
In Graphite Packing reinforced with Inconel wire, Inconel Wire (with a diameter of 0.15~0.3mm) is uniformly distributed at a volume fraction of 15%~25%, which increases the tensile strength of the packing to ≥ 18MPa (80% higher than that of pure graphite packing) and reduces the creep rate to ≤ 0.5%/1000 hours (under the condition of 200℃/15MPa). It can maintain structural stability in long-term high-temperature and high-pressure environments, avoiding sealing failure caused by plastic deformation.
(2) Wide-Range Temperature Resistance and Oxidation Resistance
Temperature resistance in air atmosphere: -200℃~800℃ (the oxidation-resistant coating of Inconel Wire can inhibit high-temperature oxidation);
Temperature resistance in inert atmosphere (nitrogen/argon): -200℃~1200℃, which far exceeds the temperature limit of pure graphite packing (≤ 600℃ in air atmosphere). It is suitable for high-temperature scenarios such as supercritical boilers and aircraft engine auxiliary systems.
(3) Excellent Sealing Performance and Corrosion Resistance
Compression rate: 30%~45%, rebound rate: ≥ 18%, dynamic sealing leakage rate: ≤ 0.05 milliliters/hour (test medium: saturated steam at 150℃, pressure: 20 bar);
The graphite substrate is resistant to corrosion from full-spectrum acids and alkalis (pH 0-14), organic solvents, and molten salts. Inconel Wire is resistant to chloride ion and sulfide corrosion (e.g., high-salt media in offshore oil and gas platforms), with no risk of material brittleness.
(4) Low Friction Coefficient and Long Service Life
The surface of the packing is treated with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) micro-coating, which reduces the friction coefficient to 0.12~0.15 under dry friction conditions, and the wear rate of the shaft sleeve is ≤ 0.02 mm/1000 hours. Under normal operating conditions, its service life can reach 12,000–18,000 hours, which is more than 50% longer than that of traditional graphite packing, reducing the number of equipment shutdowns and maintenance work.
(5) Strong Engineering Adaptability
Conventional cross-sectional specifications: Square (3mm×3mm~50mm×50mm), Circular (Φ3mm~Φ50mm); customized irregular cross-sections (trapezoidal, wedge-shaped) are supported;
The volume fraction of Inconel Wire can be adjusted according to working conditions (up to 30%) to adapt to sealed chambers of different pressure levels (e.g., low-pressure valves, high-pressure reactors).

4. Application Fields
(1) Power Industry (Core Scenario)
Thermal power: Shaft sealing of supercritical boiler feedwater pumps, flange sealing of turbine condensers-it can withstand high-temperature and high-pressure steam at 540℃/30MPa. The creep resistance of Inconel Wire prevents the packing from long-term compression deformation, and its service life covers one major overhaul cycle of the boiler (about 18 months);
Nuclear power: Sealing of auxiliary pumps in nuclear island cooling systems (e.g., safety injection pumps)-Inconel 625 Wire is radiation-resistant (γ-ray dose ≤ 10⁷ Gy), and graphite is resistant to corrosion in boric acid solution. It meets the RCC-M nuclear-grade material standard and ensures sealing reliability under nuclear safety conditions.
(2) Petrochemical and Oil & Gas Extraction
Chemical industry: Shaft sealing of agitators in high-temperature acid-alkali reactors (e.g., acetic acid synthesis reactors)-it is resistant to corrosion from acetic acid vapor at 280℃/12MPa, and the leakage rate is controlled below 0.03 milliliters/hour to avoid pollution from toxic medium leakage;
Offshore oil and gas: Valve sealing of subsea Christmas trees-inconel 825 Wire is resistant to seawater chloride ion corrosion (no pitting corrosion after soaking in 50℃ seawater for 1000 hours), and graphite is resistant to erosion by crude oil and natural gas, making it suitable for deep-sea high-pressure environments (≤ 40MPa).
(3) Aerospace and High-End Manufacturing
Aviation: Sealing of aircraft engine fuel pumps-it can withstand temperature fluctuations of -50℃~650℃. Inconel Wire is resistant to vibration fatigue (no wire breakage under 1000 Hz vibration), ensuring stable operation of the engine under high-altitude conditions;
Metallurgy: Sealing of flue valves in non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces (e.g., copper smelting converters)-it can withstand 800℃ high-temperature flue gas and splashing molten metal, and the packing has a tear resistance of ≥ 22MPa, avoiding sealing failure at high temperatures and preventing flue gas overflow.
(4) General Industry and Special Fields
Pharmaceutical industry: Door sealing of high-temperature sterilization pots-the graphite substrate meets the FDA 21 CFR Part 177.2600 food-grade standard, with no additive precipitation, and is compatible with GMP clean production requirements;
Shipping industry: Sealing of seawater cooling pumps for ship main engines-inconel Wire is resistant to seawater corrosion, and graphite is resistant to seawater biological adhesion. Its service life exceeds 20,000 hours, reducing maintenance needs during long-distance ship voyages.
5. Supplementary Explanation
(1) Customized Service
We provide customized versions of special-grade Inconel Wire (e.g., Inconel 718, whose creep resistance temperature is increased to 850℃) and high-purity graphite (99.9% purity). We support precision machining with a cross-sectional dimensional tolerance of ± 0.05 mm, making the product suitable for micro-sealing chambers (e.g., aerospace equipment).
(2) Quality Certification
The product has passed ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification, ASME B16.20 Sealing Standard Certification, and SGS RoHS 2.0 Environmental Testing. Nuclear-grade models have passed RCC-M and ASME BPVC III certifications. We can provide comprehensive third-party testing reports.
(3) Installation and Maintenance
During installation, it is recommended to use a specialized packing cutting tool (to avoid Inconel Wire breakage), and the clearance between the sealing chamber and the shaft sleeve should be controlled at 0.1–0.3 mm;
If slight leakage occurs after long-term use, the sealing performance can be restored by appropriately tightening the gland (torque increment ≤ 5 N·m), without the need for overall replacement.
