- Reliable electrical insulation: Volume resistivity ≥ 10¹⁴ ohms · cm (tested according to IEC 60093 standard), can effectively isolate current and prevent short circuits between conductive components.
- Wide temperature resistance range: The working temperature range is -200 ℃~800 ℃ (in an inert atmosphere), -150 ℃~600 ℃ (in air), and there will be no deformation or performance degradation under extreme temperature fluctuations.
- Excellent sealing performance: Density of 1.8-2.1 grams per cubic centimeter (tested according to ASTM D792 standard), low compression ratio (5-15% under 10 megapascals pressure), ensuring a tight fit with the mating surface and preventing leakage of media (such as gases and liquids).

1. Flexible graphite is too soft/fragile
Sealing graphite paper is prone to deformation and tearing under high pressure or bolt tightening, making it unable to provide structural support.
- Molded Graphite Sheet has high strength and rigidity, with a flexural strength typically ≥ 25-40 MPa (several times that of flexible graphite). It can withstand high-pressure bolt pre tightening force and is suitable for use as load-bearing gaskets or structural components.
2. Failure caused by high temperature oxidation/corrosion
Metal or rubber gaskets deteriorate rapidly at temperatures greater than 450 ℃ or in acidic or alkaline media.
- Molded Graphite Sheet is temperature resistant and corrosion-resistant, suitable for long-term use in air at 500 ℃ or above, and in an inert atmosphere at 2500 ℃ or above; Resistant to almost all acids (except strong oxidizing acids) and molten metals, with a lifespan far exceeding that of metal gaskets.
3. High purity requirement (pollution risk)
Ash or metal ions can contaminate wafers/silicon rods in semiconductor/photovoltaic processes.
- Molded Graphite Sheet is high-purity and controllable, with ash content as low as<50 ppm (nuclear grade) and carbon content ranging from 99.9% to 99.99%, meeting the requirements of clean rooms.
4. Complex shapes need to be processed
The customer requires perforated, slotted, and irregular sealing rings, and flexible graphite is difficult to precisely cut.
- Molded Graphite Sheet has good machinability and can be CNC machined into various precision shaped parts (such as EDM electrodes, crucible covers, bearings), with good dimensional stability.
5. Dual requirements of thermal management and structure
It needs to conduct heat and bear pressure (such as the uniform heating plate of the furnace body).
