Corrugated Flexible Graphite Tape (also known as graphite corrugated tape or graphite corrugated composite gasket) is a sealing material commonly used in high-temperature, high-pressure or corrosive environments, with good compression resilience and chemical stability.

Core Materials and Structure

(1) Basic Material: High-purity expanded graphite - made from natural flake graphite through chemical acidification and high-temperature expansion, with a carbon content of ≥99% and no binders added.

(2) Structural Features: Corrugated design - Corrugated Flexible Graphite Tape is pressed to form continuous peaks and valleys, usually with a thickness of 0.3-3.0mm.

Flexibility and compressibility - the corrugated structure provides elastic compensation capacity to fit flange micro-deformations (such as thermal expansion and contraction).

Typical Application Scenarios

(1) High-temperature flange sealing: Refinery reactor flanges, power plant high-temperature steam valves (hydrogen service systems with temperature >350°C).

(2) Strongly corrosive medium sealing: Chlor-alkali industry (wet chlorine gas, concentrated sulfuric acid), pharmaceutical industry reaction kettles (solvent sealing).

(3) Irregular surface sealing: The corrugated structure fits damaged/uneven flange surfaces (filling scratch depths ≤0.2mm).

(4) Emergency maintenance (pressure plugging): No need to shut down the machine, directly clamp to repair pipeline/valve leaks after winding.

Structural Types

(1) Pure graphite flexible type: Only pressed from flexible graphite, suitable for general corrosive media.

(2) Reinforced type: Clamped with metal mesh or added with fibers to improve tensile strength and pressure resistance.

(3) Composite type: Corrugated Flexible Graphite Tape combined with other sealing materials to adapt to special working conditions.
